PSCCE 12: Panhellenic Scientific Conference of Chemical Engineering

AUTH attended the 12th Panhellenic Scientific Conference of Chemical Engineering (PSCCE 12 2019), which was held in Athens (Greece) on May 29–31, 2019.

PSCCE is a national conference, held every two years by the three Chemical Engineering Institutes of Greece consecutively in Patra, Thessaloniki and Athens. A great number of participants (>1000) were present in the conference, including under– and post–graduate students and academics.

AUTH presented the work “Limestone and dolomite as thermochemical energy storage materials: Reaction kinetics and deactivation modeling”. The presentation delivered by Thanasis Scaltsoyiannes, aimed to inform the attendees about the studies performed in the frame of SOCRATCES project over dolomite and limestone materials.  Both experimental, in a fixed-bed reactor apparatus and theoretical results regarding the CaL reaction kinetics and deactivation were presented.
