AUTH attended the 25^th International Conference on Chemical Reaction Engineering (ISCRE 25 2018), which was held in Florence (Italy) on May 20–23, 2018.

The conference has a long tradition, dating back to 1957, in the area of reaction engineering. The Conference topics were treated in 4 parallel sessions, including Chemical kinetics, Advances in chemical reactor engineering and design, Multiscale approaches to chemical reaction engineering and Novel materials in reaction engineering. About 500 participants attended the conference with great participation also from industry.

AUTH presented SOCRATCES with a poster entitled “Evaluation of ZrO₂ promoted CaO-based sorbent for post-combustion CO₂ capture in a bench-scale fluidized bed reactor”, describing the testing of sorbent materials under Calcium Looping (CaL) conditions in a fluidized bed reactor.
