11MSC: Mediterranean Combustion Symposium

CNR, the National Research Council attended the “11th Mediterranean Combustion Symposium (MCS-11)” to present the work “Role of acoustic fields on the fluidized bed carbonation for TCES in CSP applications”. MCS-11 was organised by the Spanish Section of the Combustion Institute, with technical and administrative support from the Fluid Mechanics Group of the University of Zaragoza, and held in Tenerife (Spain) at the Sheraton La Caleta Resort & Spa on June 16th-20th.

MCS11 is the eleventh symposium in a series on combustion and related topics, the Mediterranean Combustion Symposia, held by the scientific communities from countries around the Mediterranean. The objective of MCS11 and its predecessors is to give scientists, particularly engineers and students from the Mediterranean area, the opportunity to get together for the dissemination of state-of-the-art advances in combustion and related research and to enhance future collaborative research activities between scientists from different geographic areas.

In particular, the presentation was delivered by Dr. Ammendola, in the framework of the Colloquium “CO2 CAPTURE PROCESSES AND NEW CONCEPTS, including oxy-fuel combustion, chemical looping combustion, gasification and other novel processes”.
