

The CIES 2018 conference - 16th Iberian Congress and 12th Ibero-American Solar Energy Congress - was held in Madrid on June 20-22 where the SOCRATCES project was presented.
The CIES conference is one of the most important events of solar energy in the Iberian Peninsula and Latin America and is aimed at scientists, educators, engineers, architects, economists, entrepreneurs, technologists, administration and end users, united by the objective of promoting solar energy in Latin America in areas as diverse as building, transport, power generation or heat of industrial process. The conference topic in this edition was "Clean and manageable energy for everyone".
Carlos Ortiz, from the University of Seville, was in charge to present the SOCRATCES project who addressed the main opportunities and challenges of the CSP-CaL system.
