Having been informed by TTZ Bremerhaven, two journalists from the local newspaper Nordsee-Zeitung arrived and were welcomed by Mr. Muhammad Eusha, Dr. Gerhard Schories, Mr. Wolfgang Schulz, Mr. Günter Schumacher and Mr. Faraz Mir. They were given an overview of the fundamental technology of the SOCRATCES and the role TTZ played in it as a work package leader of WP4. The impetus of the project and the importance of harnessing solar energy and its storage were discussed by Dr. Schories. Mr. Eusha discussed the operating principle of the Stirling engine and its relevance to modern energy engineering. The meeting concluded after some pictures were taken. An article was published a few days later in German. The article contained information on TTZ’s role in SOCRATCES, and a description of exactly what the project is trying to accomplish.
